Good Afternoon!
Welcome to my blog! My blog was initially set up to talk about my mold illness. I discussed how mold illness affects the body and my journey to healing. I’m revamping this blog to discuss spiritual masks and how we can be free to live our true selves. I want to discuss how we as people, particularly women, hide behind spiritual masks. A mask is a covering for all or part of the face worn as a disguise or to amuse or terrify other people. I wore a mask for years for my physical health due to the mold illness. I am allergic to chemicals such as perfume, paint, aerosol sprays etc. The mask was my protection to prevent allergic reactions. People wear masks for various reasons. Some people participate in Halloween, Mardi Gars, or Masquerade Ball, or to Rob a bank. We will address our spiritual masks. Our spiritual masks are used to cover up or to hide something from others. We might be covering up shame, guilt, secrets, abuse, sickness, jealous, envy, bitterness, etc. One thing the mask doesn’t cover is one’s eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul. The Bible declares in Matthew 6:22-23 (NLT): “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is!” Have you ever had someone to say, “Look at me, when I’m talking?” The eyes will tell on us every time. We can dressed up on the outside but tore up from the floor up on the inside. We cover up with makeup, lashes, weave or clothes. The disguise is hidden from the world but not God. The Lord told Samuel when Jesse and his sons were consecrated, “Don’t not look on his appearance (he was referring to Jesse eldest son Eliab) or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” (I Samuel 16:7 ESV) In other words don’t judge a book by its cover. God searches our hearts. Therefore, no matter if you are wearing a mask to cover up your hurt, pain, disappointments, or brokenness, God knows. God not only knows, He cares. He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus died and rose with all power in his hands. We have the same power to be free to remove all masks!
The bible truth:
John 8:32 “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:36: “So if the Son sets you fee, you are truly free.”
Follow my blog as we explore some biblical truths, women in the bible who wore masks, and finally, BE FREE, to remove the mask!

About This Blog
You might think it’s strange or weird to see a person walking around with a mask on. In my blog I will explain why this mask is necessary for survival. I spent years wondering why smells would literally stop me from breathing. I had no idea what had taken over my body like in a episode of twilight zone.

Everything you say about wearing a mask is true. I have worn several over the years, hurt, guilt, shame, fear, impatience. All the while I felt trapped and I wanted to be set free. Nothing changed until I began to truly trust and believe God. I cried and prayed, cried and prayed. I started reading the word (I mean really reading and studying) and meditating on the goodness of the lord and until I fully accepted that god is always with me nothing changed. I have come a long, long way and refuse to go back. I didn’t know how to have peace of mind and now I know where my help comes from and who to lean on.
Amen! Blessings!
